DDoS

A DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack is an advanced form of DoS attack where multiple compromised systems, often part of a botnet, work together to overwhelm a target with excessive traffic. Unlike a standard DoS attack, which originates from a single source, a DDoS attack uses numerous sources, making it harder to defend against and trace.

DDoS attacks exploit the combined bandwidth and resources of multiple devices, such as computers, IoT devices, or servers, to send massive amounts of requests to the target. This flood of traffic exhausts the target’s resources, disrupting legitimate user access to the service or network.
